If you have a child with ADHD or Autism Spectrum Disorder, you’ve probably heard it all:
“They just need to be more motivated.”
“They need to focus.”
“They’re capable… if they’d only try.”
And those phone calls from school?
It’s never the celebration of what your child did right. It’s the list of what’s wrong, what’s missing, or what needs “fixing.”
You’re tired.
You’re doing the best you can, and deep down, you know your child isn’t a problem to solve—they’re a person who needs support, understanding, and strategies that fit their brain.
One-to-one coaching or the Courage and Compass Parent Support Group could be the support you need to help you find the support and understanding that will help.
You need someone who gets it.
Meet your coach
I am a teacher, professional coach, and mom navigating neurodiversity and the transition to middle school, high school, and beyond. For more than 15 years, I've spent my career in the messy, unpredictable world of middle school—as a classroom teacher.
During those years, I became a parent to a neurodivergent child, and I learned all over again that the script most families are handed doesn't actually fit most families.
When life throws a challenge my way, I go into learning mode: I read, I research, I ask questions, I gather every tool I can find. The Unrested Life exists because that knowledge was never meant to sit in a notebook — it was meant to be shared with families who are searching for the answers and most often, solutions.
Coaching, to me, is personal and relational — built on trust and accountability that actually works, not a one-size-fits-all workshop where you leave feeling like a number.
